A single vehicle accident on Georgia Highway 15 in Washington County claimed one life.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident took place on Monday, October 19 at approximately 2:05 p.m.
The 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by 56-year-old Diane Wiley of Warthen, was traveling south on Georgia Highway 15 in Washington County when it crossed over the center line and entered the north bound lane of travel.
According to the initial report from the Georgia State Patrol, the 2002 Chevrolet Suburban left the roadway on the west shoulder and struck a tree.
The driver of the vehicle, Diane Wiley of Warthen, was pronounced deceased by the Washington County Coroner at Washington County Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services for Diane Wiley will be announced later. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
