A.D. WILLIAMS

Mr. A.D. Williams entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Smith’s Medical Nursing Facility. Graveside funeral services were held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sandersville City Cemetery. Reverend Rose Johnson Mackey presided and Rev. Jeffery Marion delivered the eulogy.

A.D. was born to the parentage of the late Hattie Logue and Jimmy Williams on September 25, 1926 in Washington County Georgia. He was preceded in death by five siblings; Henry, Therman, Twillie, Memphis and Hattie Pearl. A.D. was a member of Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church. He was a retired truck driver for Smith Sheppard Concrete Company for 50+ years.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Mr. Stevie (Cynthia) Williams, Sr. of Milledgeville, Georgia; one grandson, Mr. Stevie Williams, Jr. of Statesboro, Georgia; one adopted daughter, Mrs. Gwendolyn (Tony) Bryant of Sandersville, Georgia; one adopted son, Mr. Ernest Wimberly of Tennille, Georgia; one god daughter, Mrs. Susie (Calvin) Tucker of Sandersville, Georgia, two sons which he help reared, Mr. George (Helen) James, Sr. and Mr. Melvin James of Tennille, Georgia, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, one special nephew, Mr. Jeffery Marion of Athens, Georgia.
