THEODORE “MAN-SON” TAYLOR

Mr. Theodore Taylor, affectionately known as “Man-Son”, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Navicent Health in Macon. Graveside funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Luke AME Church Cemetery with Elder Curtiss Cordy officiating.

He was born on June 28, 1931 to the parentage of the late Mr. Velmon Taylor, Sr. and the late Mrs. Beulah Adkins Taylor. In 1961, Man-Son met and married the love of his life, Mrs. Willie Pearl Cordy Taylor. He was often called a gentle giant by family and friends. He was a faithful member of Greater Community Church where he served on the Deacons Board. Mr. Taylor worked a lifetime in construction as a concrete finisher. He enjoyed fishing, working in his flower and vegetable gardens, cooking, and being outside. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by three sisters: Mrs. Almarine Taylor Mountain, Mrs. Diann Taylor Jackson, and Mrs. Rosie Taylor Dell; five brothers: Mr. Carlton Taylor, Mr. Hubert Taylor, Mr. Ralph Taylor, Mr. Velmon Taylor, Jr., and Mr. Fred Taylor.

Mr. Taylor leaves to cherish his memories, one son: Mr. Glenn Knight, Sandersville, Georgia; stepson: Mr. Williams Hooks, Statesville, North Carolina; one brother: Mr. Henton (Eleva H.) Taylor, Riddleville, Georgia; three sisters: Mrs. Christine Curry, Mrs. Jeralean Tarver, Mrs. Juanita Logan; two brothers-in-law: Mr. Ralph (Gwen) Cordy, Mr. Otis (Betty) Cordy; six sisters-in-law: Mrs. Bobbie J. Taylor, Mrs. Beulah Little, Mrs. Kathleen White, Mrs. Pearlie Little, Mrs. Ozie Gilmore, Mrs. Louise Gundy Taylor; several grandchildren, devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
