Mrs. Frances Strickland Register, age 87, of Davisboro, died on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in an Augusta hospital following a brief illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 5 in the Davisboro Cemetery.
Mrs. Register was a native of Oglethorpe County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Noah Lovie Strickland and the late Gussie Smith Strickland. Mrs. Register was a former certified nursing assistant and a homemaker. She was a member of Davisboro Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her sister, Katie S. Compton; children, David Register, Joseph Register and Jimmy Register; and granddaughter, Wendy Jo Register. She was the wife of the late Walter Dykes Register, Sr.
Survivors are her children, Nancy Register Tingle of Tennille, Jack Register of Davisboro, Tommy Register of Seattle, Washington, Kenny Register and his wife Barbara of Greenwood, South Carolina, Tim Register and his wife Barbara of Van Cleve, Mississippi, Walter Register, Jr. of Opelika Alabama, and Christopher Register and his wife Christina of Mountain Park, North Carolina; twenty one grandchildren, many great grandchildren; and a sister, Grace Yancey of Eastman.
