
Carol S. Foskey Fulford, age 66, of Adrian passed away on the morning of Thursday , January 7, 2021 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at the Adrian New Life Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Stuart Broderick and Reverend Larry Little officiating.
Born in Waycross, Georgia, she was the eldest of five daughters born to the late Willard Franklin and Betty Jean Davis Foskey. As a young child, her family moved to Adrian, which became and remained as her home. Carol was a graduate of Adrian High School and obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing Certification from Swainsboro Technical College. She worked as an LPN in Obstetrics at the Emanuel County Medical Center for approximately fifteen years. She later worked at Shamrock Nursing Home in Dublin and Wrightsville Manor in Wrightsville before retiring in the early 2000’s.
Mrs. Fulford loved yard sales, fleas markets, and was an avid cook book collector. She enjoyed preparing special treats from her cook book collection and taking the time to make them appear just as they did on the pages of her books and magazines. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and she enjoyed tending her flowers and vegetable garden.
Mrs. Fulford was a faithful member of the Adrian New Life Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Wayne Fulford, a sister, Doris Barnes, a nephew, Chris Donaldson, her father and mother in law, Eustace and Myrtle Fulford, her paternal grandparents, Calvin and Revenna Foskey and her maternal grandparents, Clayton and Ethel Taylor Davis Brown.
Mrs. Fulford leaves behind, her children, Matt Fulford, Wrightsville, Caleb Fulford (Cindy), Soperton, Jacy Fulford Ausburn, Adrian, her sisters, Louise Owens (David), Tennille, Kay Ricks (Jimmy), Soperton, Dean Downs (Jeff), Adrian, a son in law, Frederick Miller, Adrian, nine grandchildren, Larissa Thompson (Matthew), Becky Fulford, Lizzie Ryan, Nathan Ryan, Cleant Ryan, Ian Ryan, Abigail Ausburn, Bayleigh Ausburn, Jacob Miller, and numerous nieces and nephews.
