
Washington County Public Schools will hold all classes through a remote setting on Thursday, March 18.
The school system announced on Wednesday that due to the potential for inclement weather in the local area through Wednesday night and Thursday morning, classes would be completely moved to a virtual setting on Thursday.
“After collaborating with our local EMA and Sheriff’s Office, we have decided to hold a remote learning day tomorrow, March 18th,” said a social media post by Washington County Public Schools. “The National Weather Service continues to predict a strong line of storms moving through our area later today and through tomorrow. This could create unsafe travelling conditions for our students and staff.”
On Wednesday, students were alerted of the learning format that they will use on Thursday.
Washington County Public Schools plans to resume in-person learning on Friday, March 19.
