Mr. Keith Sargent McDonald, age 59, of Warthen, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021, following a brief illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 12, in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Warthen. Reverend Joe Crosby and Reverend Gary Mimbs will officiate. Pallbearers will be Tommy Brown, David Hitchcock, Bill Garner, Nic Goodson, Kyle Hyman, George Lord, Rodney McNamara, Glenn McNeely, and Doug Waller.

Mr. McDonald was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He was the son of the late Lonnie Silas McDonald and the late Bertie Mae Sargent McDonald. He was a master plumber and the owner of Keith McDonald Plumbing Company. Keith was an avid Georgia Bulldogs football fan and an excellent cook. He always had a smile on his face and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. Keith was known for his generous and loving spirit, as well as for his deep Christian faith. He was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Sandersville, where he was an integral part of the “Challengers Sunday School Class.” Above all, Keith enjoyed spending time with his loving family. In addition to his parents, Keith is preceded in death by his brother, Barry McDonald.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Price McDonald of Warthen; daughters, Lindsay McDonald Goodson and her husband Nic of Milledgeville and Natalie McDonald Hyman and her husband Kyle of Warthen; grandchildren, Jack Goodson, Parker Goodson, Baylee Hyman, Ellie Hyman, and soon-to-be-born-grandson, Brantley Keith Hyman; twin brother, Ken McDonald and his wife Lynn of Tennille; and sisters, Lonna McDonald Deraney and her husband Danny of Mitchell and Leigh McDonald Fitzgerald and her husband Bobby of Warthen.

The family will receive friends at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday. Per family request, the practicing of social distancing and the wearing of face masks will be required.
