Ms. Jhanasia Onkerria Tukes, affectionately known as “Worm,” departed this life on Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Jefferson County Hospital. Graveside funeral services were held on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Magnolia Baptist Church in Avery with Elder Jessie Mountain officiating.

Ms. Tukes was born on July 17, 1995 to the parentage of Mrs. Kather P. Poberson and Mr. Randall Peeler. She attended the publc schools of Jefferson County. Jhanasia was employed by Sitel Communication.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ms. Laquitta Davis; grandfathers, Mr. Charlie L. Poole and Mr. Vernon Peeler; grandmothers, Ms. Katherine Tukes, Ms. Viline Williams, Ms. Irene Minor, Ms. Essie Peeler, and Mrs. Betty Richardson.

Ms. Tukes is survived by her daughter, Miss Amor Tukes, Louisville; parents, Mrs. Kather (Dale) Roberson, Waynesboro, Ms. Bobbie Minor, Louisville, Mr. Randall (Catrina) Peeler, Tennille, and Mr. Earnest “Bo” Tukes, Sandersville; sisters, Ms. Brenell, Tukes, Ms. Shundrekia Tukes, and Ms. Te’Asia Tukes, all of Louisville, Ms. Chantara, Tukes, Ms. Dealeatica Tukes, Ms. Lekisha Ingram, and Ms. Veronica Swint all of Tennille; brothers, Mr. Travarris (Brandy) Tukes and Mr. Stanques Tukes both of Grovetown, Mr. Derrick James, Sandersville, Mr. Antwan Tukes, Waynesboro, Mr. Kanadrian Minor, Louisville, and Mr. Tyler Tukes, Tennille; grandfather, Mr. Tommie Richardson, Tennille; two devoted aunts, Ms. Gladys Dixon and Ms. Kathy Minor, Louisville; aunts, Ms. Charlene Tukes, Ms. Ethel Peeler, and Ms. Katherine Peeler all of Tennille; uncle, Mr. Steven (Kimberly) Richardson, Tennille; devoted cousin, Ms. Monique Tukes, Atlanta; devoted nephew, Mr. Ricardo Jenkins, Louisville; god sisters, Mrs. Shonvon (Bobby) Price, Bartow and Mrs. Sqerneria (Nicholas) Jordan, Louisville; ten nieces; nine nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
