
Sandersville Council approved appointments to the City’s Main Street Board and the Planning and Zoning Board at their Monday, December 6 City Council meeting.
Sandersville’s Building Official Dave Larson reported during the City Council meeting that Carolyn Bloodsaw, Rita Hunt, and Joe Morris were contacted prior to the meeting, and all agreed to continue to serve on the Sandersville Planning and Zoning Board. The term for these three individuals runs from January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024.
The Planning and Zoning Commission appointments represent the various districts within the City of Sandersville. Councilperson Danny Brown reported during the Monday, December 6 Council meeting that he has contacted several individuals from his district about potentially serving on the Planning and Zoning Board to fill one vacancy from District Three.
Council unanimously voted to reappoint Carolyn Bloodsaw, Rita Hunt, and Joe Morris to the Sandersville Planning and Zoning Board.
In addition, Sandersville City Council also made two appointments to the newly established Sandersville Main Street Board. This Board consists of seven individuals.
Sandersville Council approved Gerri Brantley and Anthony Baker to serve on the Main Street Board.
Gerri Brantley’s term runs from December 15, 2021 through March 31, 2023.
Anthony Baker’s term runs from December 15, 2021 through March 31, 2025.
“I think these two will be really good assets, and they will bring our Board up to full strength,” Sandersville’s Economic Development Director Andrew Simpson. He added, “Brantley and Baker are phenomenal.”
Sandersville City Council unanimously voted to appoint Gerri Brantley and Anthony Baker to the Sandersville Main Street Board.
Sandersville Main Street Board’s next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 15 at 8:30 a.m. in the Sandersville City Council Chambers located on Malone Street in Sandersville.
