LEE AUTHUR WILLIAMS

Mr. Lee Arthur Williams, Sr., affectionately known as “Jackie Bo” and “Rolla,” passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at his residence. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 23 at 11:00 A.M. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church of Sandersville with Reverend Cecil Moore officiating. Interment was held in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Williams was born on April 24, 1939, to the parentage of the late Mr. Clayton Williams, Sr. and the late Mrs. Leomia Williams. He was a graduate of the Thomas Jefferson High School of Sandersville. Lee loved his family and was a wonderful provider. Mr. Williams was a dedicated member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was well-known for his electrical work and retired as a First Class Lineman at Washington EMC. Lee enjoyed selling fruits and vegetables, especially watermelons. Mr. Williams was an avid Washington County High School sports fan. He loved to socialize and joke with others on the Downtown Sandersville Square. Lee enjoyed fishing in his later years. He was preceded in death a sister, Ms. Cleomia Williams; and two brothers, Mr. Clayton Williams and Mr. Emmanuel Williams.

Mr. Williams leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mrs. Ruby Williams, Sandersville; children, Ms. Carolyn Williams (Mark Curry), Sandersville, Mr. Lee A. Williams, Jr., Greensboro, Mr. Corey (Cherita) Williams, Greensboro, and Mr. Tyrie (Domonique) Williams, Roswell; brothers, Mr. Clarence Williams, Sr., Sandersville, Mr. O.J. Miller, Sandersville, and Mr. Eddie L. Miller, Sandersville; grandchildren, Mr. Jajuan Curry, Sandersville, Ms. Chloe Williams, Greensboro, Mr. Dylan Williams, Roswell, and Mr. David Williams, Roswell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
