Mrs. Robin Ford Edge, age 64, of Sandersville passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, following an extended illness. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, May 15th at 2:00 P.M. in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.

Robin was born in Macon and reared in Sandersville, the daughter of the late Robert Alton Ford and the late Louise Kitchens Ford. She was a 1975 graduate of Brentwood School and attended Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville. Following a stint of living in Macon, Mrs. Edge returned to Sandersville and worked as Credit Manager for Farmers Furniture, in logistics for ECCI, and most recently with Sandersville Drug Company. Robin was well known as a Girl Scouts Volunteer Troop Leader. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. Mrs. Edge found great joy while working in yard and gardens. Robin possessed a glowing personality, never met a stranger, and always fought to find common ground with all. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edge is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Edge; and brother, Bob Ford.

Survivors include her sisters, Gail F. Deen of Vidalia and Laurie F. Perdue of Sandersville; nieces, Keary Harrison, Denita Turner (Mike), Bonnie Grossarth (Adrian), and Shanna Burkett (David); nephews, Ben Perdue (Laila), Johnathan Ford (Jessica), Josh Ford (Christen) and Brandon Green (Rachel); and great-nieces and great-nephews.
