Mr. Sanders was born on January 23, 1958 in Sandersville to the parentage of the late Mrs. Helen Sanders-Hunt and the late Mr. Johnny Pinkston. He was regarded as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. Johnny was a dedicated member of the Samuel Grove Baptist Church. “Yogi” lived a full life, never met a stranger, and always left a lasting impression. Deacon Sanders was a mild-mannered man, who lived a life for his Lord and supported his family. He was a noted “giver,” inspired by Matthew 6:3, “But when you give to the poor and do acts of kindness, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing [give in complete secrecy].” Johnny was a selfless man and mentor to his sons and grandsons. “Yogi” lived a life set as a wonderful example for others to follow. Mr. Sanders often gave without seeking a return.
