Mrs. Pearl Baker Hattaway, age 95, of Sandersville passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022, at the Washington County Regional Medical Center Extended Care Facility following an extended illness. A graveside funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 11:00 A.M. in the Washington County Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Sandersville. Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.

Mrs. Hattaway was born and reared in Santa Anna, Texas, the daughter of the late Silas Hattaway and the late Viola Willis Baker. She graduated high school in Texas and soon met her husband, Roy Hattaway, while he was militarily stationed in nearby Brownwood. They would relocate to Sandersville where Pearl would begin a career as a Seamstress at Royal Manufacturing and the William Carter Company. Mrs. Hattaway was a member and Sunday School Teacher at the Sisters Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and shopping for bargains.

Survivors include her children, Roy Gene Hattaway and wife Peggy of Harrison, Sue King of Warner Robins, and Cathy Logue and husband George of Sandersville; grandchildren, Troy Lindsey, Kevin Lindsey, Michael Hattaway and wife Amy, Christi Kevern and husband Chris, Adam Smith and wife Heather, and Becky Summy and husband Daniel; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
