Sharon Lindsey Atkinson, age 51, of Lake Sinclair passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022, following a brief illness. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, November 10th at 2:00 P.M. in the May and Smith Funeral Home of Sandersville. The family will greet friends on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Reverend Roy Smith will officiate.
Mrs. Atkinson was reared in Sandersville, a 1989 graduate of the Washington County High School. She was previously employed as Office Manager for Custom Milling Company in Davisboro and most recently adored her duties and coworkers as a Benefit Analyst for the University System of Georgia Shared Services Center. Mrs. Atkinson and her husband Stephen made their home on their beloved Lake Sinclair to accommodate their blended family. She enjoyed boat rides, cooking, and attempting to garden. Sharon was a loyal National Champion Georgia Bulldog Football fan and loved attending concerts. Mrs. Atkinson treasured her grandchildren and cherished time spent with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen Atkinson of Lake Sinclair; children, Haley Johnson and significant other Bradley Albright of Atlanta, Nate Johnson and significant other Logan Miller of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Julia Atkinson of Athens, and Sophie Atkinson of Athens; grandchildren, Isabella Johnson, Colt Johnson, and Stella Johnson; mother, Gail C. Keyser and husband Ken of Warthen; father, Harry Lindsey and wife Renny of Riddleville; and brother, Chris Lindsey and wife Missy of Sandersville.
