Mrs. Christine Ivey passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 23 at 2:00 P.M. in the St. James CME of Sparta with Reverend Dwight Crew officiating. Interment will be held in the Church Cemetery.
Ms. Ivey is survived by her children, Minnie Ruff, Betty R. Ivey, Vera Ivey, Lester Ivey, Phillip Ivey, Marilyn Womble, and Rosa Ivey; brother, David Ivey; nephew, Derek Ivey; “bonus daughter,” Evelyn A. Watson; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
