Mr. Wade Hampton Cramer, age 73, of Walden Road in Sandersville passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, October 27 at 2:00 P.M. in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery of Sandersville. Reverend Lee Lacey will officiate. Pallbearers will be Alan Frost, Scott Glenn, Stephen Hardee, Joe Kitchens, Matt Hartley, and Phillip Oliver. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 26 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. in the May and Smith Funeral Home of Sandersville.

Mr. Cramer was born in Athens and reared in his cherished Deepstep, the son of the late Wade Hampton Cramer, Sr. and the late Melissa Giles Cramer. He was a 1968 graduate of the Washington County High School, excelling in football, basketball, and track. Wade would continue his education at Georgia Southwestern University in Americus on a basketball scholarship. Mr. Cramer then returned home to Washington County to begin a forty year career with Thiele Kaolin Company, retiring as a Production Foreman. Wade enjoyed fishing and hunting, but above all else, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hendrix Cramer; sons, Lance Wade Cramer and wife Callie of Grovetown and Justin Hardee Cramer and wife Megan of Sandersville; grandchildren, Peyton Cramer, Madison Cramer, and Lyric Cramer; and bothers, Jeffrey Cramer, Sr. and wife Carole of Deepstep, Clifford Cramer and wife Angela of Deepstep, and Rusty Cramer and wife Diane of Brunswick.
