Mrs. Linda Boatright Butler, age 74, of Sandersville, died Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at the Washington County Extended Care Facility following an extended illness. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th at 11:00 a.m. in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Her husband, Bill Butler, will officiate.

Mrs. Butler was born and reared in Washington County, the daughter of the late Ted Maynard Boatright and the late Hilda Scarbrough Boatright. For many years she and Bill resided in Douglas where she served as the administrative assistant to the Pastor at First Baptist Church of Douglas where she was also a devoted and faithful member. One of Linda’s favorite hobbies was listening to opera. She lived life humbly and was known to family and friends as a forgiving, kind, and compassionate person.

Survivors are her husband, Bill Butler; children, Julie Butler of Sandersville and Bill Butler III and his wife Sherry of Tennille; grandchildren, Ashley Gardner (Craig), Mellissa Chapman (Carl), Randy Adams (Devon) and Colby Butler (Destiny); great grandchildren, Daxton Shireman, Ryker Shireman, Henley Ann Chapman, Scarlet Butler and Tripp Chapman; and her bothers, Ted Boatright and his wife Ellen and Mack Boatright and his wife Mary all of Tennille.
