Mr. Haynes was born as the first of four children to the parentage of the late Mr. Willie Lee Haynes, Sr. and the late Mrs. Vivian Grace Stanley-Haynes. At an early age, he joined the Rice Hill Baptist Church and served as an active member of their Male Voices of Buckeye. Willie married Ms. Tammy Waters in 1980 and saw three children born to their union: Bradford, Byron and Brandi. In 2002, Mr. Haynes married Ms. Patrice Warthen, with whom he shares his child, Bryson. He was a 1974 graduate of the Dublin High School. Willie held a lifelong dedication to providing for his family, beginning at the age of thirteen while caring for his mother and younger siblings. Mr. Haynes’ family-driven work ethic continued into adulthood as a husband, father and grandfather. He coached organized sports from 1986 until 2009, involved in the lives of many community children. Willie was a “workaholic,’ working at Men’s Imperial in the Dublin Mall, Buckeye Masonry, and his own Haynes Masonry, LLC, where he built many of the longstanding and admired homes and establishments in Laurens and surrounding counties. Mr. Haynes was often a man of few words, but always enjoyed talking about his Lord and his family. He enjoyed singing, watching westerns and sports, and participating martial arts.
