Mr. Larry Walker passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the Washington County Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18 at 1:00 P.M. in the M.C. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Calvin Martin officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 17 at 136 Oscar Drive in Sandersville at 4:00 P.M.

Mr. Walker was born on August 3, 1950, to the parentage of the late Mr. Elder “Shorty” Walker, Sr and the late Mrs. Mattie Will Walker, the youngest of four children. He attended the public schools of Washington County and Job Corps to become a mechanic. Larry was a twenty-two-year dedicated employee of Burgess Pigment Company. Mr. Walker was often found the hood of a vehicle, enjoying his time repairing any issue. He also loved vacationing with his wife and two daughters. Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Gloria Walker; one sister, Ms. Annie Kate Jackson; and two brothers, Mr. Elder Walker, Jr. and Mr. Johnny Walker.

Mr. Walker leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Mrs. Yolanda (Calvin) Martin of Kennesaw and Ms. Tiffany Walker of Sandersville; eight grandchildren, Mr. Justin Walker of Palm Springs, California, Mr. Cam’ron Martin of Kennesaw, Ms. Caelan Martin of Kennesaw, Mr. Collin Martin of Kennesaw, Ms. Alexis Dent of Sandersville, Mr. Jaden Walker of Sandersville, Master Ashton Walker of Sandersville, Master Austin Walker of Sandersville; one great grandchild, Miss Avery Walker of Palm Springs, California; one sister-in-law, Ms. Joanne Key of Sandersville; two brothers-in-law, Mr. Russell Lee Smith of Sandersville and Bishop Donald Tarver of Griffin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
