George Lamar Cullens, Sr., age 90, of Harrison, died on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, in a local hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 10th at Harrison Baptist Church in Harrison, Georgia with burial in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.  Reverend Andy Carter, Reverend Chad Waller and Reverend Nathan Adams will officiate. Pallbearers will be Cheston Cullens, Horace Jackson, Jeremy Lindsey, Marty Cullens, Ryan Cullens, Shane Miller, Tyler Cullens, and Wesley Price.

Mr. Cullens was a native of Wilkinson County, Georgia, the son of the late Vivian Lamar Cullens and the late Clara Belle Worsham Cullens.  He was preceded in death by his uncle Will P. Cullens and aunt, Ouida Cullens.

Mr. Cullens was a retired electronics foreman at Warner Robins Air Force Base.  He was the owner of C & H Bus Lines Inc. for fifty seven years and the franchisee of Georgia Trailways for over twenty years.  Mr. Cullens was an antique car collector and loved to hunt doves.  He was a member of Harrison Baptist Church and an army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors are his wife of sixty five years, Edna Franklin Cullens of Harrison; children, Teresa Cullens Boyd and her husband Tommy of Sandersville, George L. Cullens, Jr. and his wife Ginger of Harrison, William F. “Bill” Cullens and his wife Lisa of Harrison, Dr. Fredrick E. Cullens and his wife Michelle of Warthen, and J. J. Cullens and his wife Jennifer of Macon; grandchildren, Tricia Jackson, Tracey Price, Crystal Miller, Genna Cullens, Geordan Cullens, Marty Cullens, Deonica Lindsey, Cheston Cullens, Tyler Cullens, Riley Cullens and Ryan Cullens; great grandchildren, Cullen Collins, Robert Jackson, Elliott Price, Bryce Miller, Blayne Miller, Cody Cullens and Madison Lindsey; sisters, Peggy Scott of McPherson, Kansas and Deborah Clance of Milledgeville, Ga.

The family will greet friends at Harrison Baptist Church from 12:30 P.M. until the hour of service on Saturday.  The family suggest donations be made to the ALSAC Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 5901 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30328.
