Mr. Jimmie P. Andrews, age 84, of Holmes Cannery Road, Tennille, died Sunday, November 25, 2018.   A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 27th at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church on Friendship Church Road in Jefferson County.  Burial will be in  Washington County Memorial Gardens.  Reverend Steve Keener and Reverend Otis Andrews will officiate.   Pallbearers will be Eric Holmes, Edwin Thompson, Allen Veal, Mike Couch, Jeremy Andrews and Keith Andrews.

Mr. Andrews was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Cleon Robert Andrews and the late Mary Lizzie Roberson Andrews.  He worked for Holmes Canning Company for 33 years prior to his work at the Georgia Department of Transportation from which he retired.  Jimmie had a great passion for hunting and fishing as well  a love for his family farm.  He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and he is predeceased by his first wife, Edna Askew Andrews.

Survivors are, his wife, Carolyn Stavely Andrews; son, Wayne Andrews and his wife Shauna of Tennille; stepchildren, Bill Black and his wife Susan of Sandersville, Allison Cobb and her husband Kevin of Davisboro, and Carol Ann Dollar and her husband Michael of Sandersville; grandchildren, Charis Andrews, Amelia Andrews, Brittany Black, Brandon Durden and his wife Kathryn, Travis Durden, Trevor Cobb and his fiancé Baylee Beall, Tucker Cobb and his wife Brooke, Morgan Cobb, Jordan Grace Cobb, Zachery Dollar and Matthew Dollar.

The family will be at the Andrews residence on Holmes Cannery Road and they will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 12:30 until the hour of service  at 2:00 p.m.
