Mr. Jerry Dean Scott, affectionately known as “JD”, departed this life on January 9, 2019. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at M.C. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Perry Burden officiating. Interment was held in Scott Family Cemetery.
Mr. Scott was born in Macon, Georgia on March 30, 1953 to the parentage of the late Mr. John Henry and the late Mrs. Mae Omie Scott Smith.
JD had many talents. He was a carpenter, electrician and plumber. He could draw blue prints of anything he wanted to build as well as sing and play the guitar and keyboard.
Mr. Scott leaves to cherish his precious memories three sisters: Ms. Mae Ola Lester, Miami, Florida, Ms. Mary Barrion, Macon, Georgia, Mrs. Virginia (LC) Hunt, Sandersville, Georgia; one brother: Mr. Larry Scott, Macon, Georgia; devoted niece: Mrs. Helen Scott (Danny) Kilpatrick, Tennille, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
