CALVIN “DIRTY RED” RIDDLE

Mr. Calvin Riddle, affectionately known as “Dirty Red,” departed this life on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice, Statesboro, Georgia.  Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Camp Spring Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Mitchell officiating.  Interment was  in the church cemetery.

Mr. Riddle was born on March 5, 1962 to the parentage of Mrs. Gloryous Riddle and the late Mr. Charlie Lee Riddle, Sr.

He graduated from Washington County High School and served in the Army National Guard for fourteen years. Calvin was employed by Anglo-American Clays Corp. He was an humble man who enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports and telling jokes. His spirit and sense of humor will truly be missed.

Mr. Riddle leaves to cherish his precious memories a daughter: Ms. Nicki Reynolds, Augusta, Georgia; mother: Mrs. Gloryous Riddle, Davisboro, Georgia; two sisters: Ms. Vanessa Riddle, Davisboro, Georgia, Ms. Charlene Lewis, Sandersville, Georgia; nine brothers: Mr. Ferry (Lynn) Braddy, Statesboro, Georgia, Mr. Charlie Riddle, Jr., Mr. Anthony Riddle, Mr. Dennis (Jackie) Riddle, Mr. Bruce Riddle, Davisboro, Georgia, Mr. Charlie (Deborah) Gilbert, Mr. Tom (Michi) Riddle, Mr. Danny Riddle, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Tracey Riddle, Norfolk, Virginia; five aunts: Ms. Hattie Pearl Johnson, Ms. Mary Rollins, Davisboro, Georgia, Mrs. Joye (Stanley) Pitts, Mrs. Curlene (Walter, Sr.) Devan, Mrs. Rochelle (Freddie) Hall, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; three uncles: Mr. Freeman (Annie Laura) Riddle, Davisboro, Georgia, Mr. Doris (Mary Ann) Braddy, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Mr. Imam Kalil Vertis (Darlene Annette) Akbar, Charlotte, North Carolina; granddaughter: Ms. Destini Reynolds, Augusta, Georgia; grandson: Mr. Blake McClendon, Augusta, Georgia; devoted cousin: Mr. Kenneth Riddle, Harlem, Georgia; God sister: Ms. Katherine Irwin, Harrison, Georgia; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
