As part of her ministry, she often taught Sunday School and provided the program for many UMW meetings. After Ramus retired and they moved into the house where Ramus grew up, Betty became an active member of the Tennille United Methodist Church where she served wherever needed, often making cakes and casseroles to take to those who were sick or grieving.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Karen (Glenn) Watson of Bonaire, Georgia; son, Steve (Sallie) Freeman of Woodstock, Georgia; Kristi (Scott) Fuss of Covington, Georgia; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
