
Dee Lee Ellington 67, of Hanson, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Dee Lee Ellington was born January 3, 1952 in Dublin, Georgia to Varnie Hubert and Joyce Allen Ellington and was married to the former Mary Virginia McElwain February 6, 1982. Dee Lee was a retired machinist, a member of Island United Methodist Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Dee Lee was preceded in death by his father, Varnie Ellington.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Mary Ellington; two sons, Justin Nolan (Jennifer) of Owensboro and Caleb Ellington of Warthen, Georgia; two daughters, Elissa Capps (Josh) and Celia McGuire (Timothy) both of Madisonville; seven grandchildren, Jalen Nolan, Jacob Nolan, Brolee McGuire, Maggie McGuire, Duke McGuire, Wyatt Capps, and Annabel Capps; his mother, Joyce Ellington of Sandersville, Georgia; a brother, Mark Ellington (Shirley) of Sandersville; and two sisters, Dianne Tanner (Valda) of Sandersville and Marsha Stembridge (Dr. Lloyd) of Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 12th at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge, Sister Carolyn Erwin and Rev. Daniel Orten officiating. Burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415. Friends may visit with Dee Lee’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Friday at Musters in Livermore.
