One-Vehicle Rollover Claims Life of Milledgeville Man

One person died and another was seriously injured last week following a one-vehicle rollover on State Route 68 South in Tennille.

The motor vehicle accident took place at approximately 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2 near mile-marker 12 on State Route 68 South in Tennille, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The vehicle, a 1997 GMC Sierra truck, was traveling east on State Route 68 South Wednesday afternoon when it [the vehicle] ran off the roadway onto the south shoulder.

The driver of the vehicle, identified by the Georgia State Patrol as 63-year-old Randal Adams of Milledgeville, over-corrected the steering, which caused the vehicle to roll over.

According to the report from the Georgia State Patrol, the driver and the passenger of the vehicle were both unrestrained.

The driver of the vehicle, 63-year-old Randal Adams, died at the scene.

The passenger of the vehicle, 55-year-old Cathy Warthen of Milledgeville, was seriously injured; she was transported to Washington County Regional Medical Center.
