James Mason Morris, age 22, of Tennille, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. A graveside funeral service celebrating Mason’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 24th at 2:00 P.M. in the Tabernacle Methodist Church Cemetery on Highway 24 West in Sandersville. Reverend Fred Morrison will officiate. Pallbearers will be George Wiggins, Daniel Toney, Dakota McCoy, Jalyn Seals, Nate Lynch, and Vincent Cuyler.

Mason Morris was born on August 8, 1998 in Sandersville. He was a lifelong resident of Washington County, where he graduated from Washington County High School. While in school, Mason was a member of the Washington County ROTC program and excelled as a member of the Washington County 4-H shot gun team. He was trained as a Heating and Air Technician and previously worked for Outback Heating and Air and Mel Daniel Heating, Cooling & Electrical. He was currently working in Beaufort, South Carolina. Mason loved music and was a self-taught guitarist. Playing video games, bass fishing, and hanging out with friends were among his favorite hobbies.

Survivors include his parents, Jennifer W. McGraw and her husband Mark of Tennille and Chris Morris of Sandersville; son, Kayden Blake Morris; siblings, Ansley McGraw and fiancé Daniel Toney and Gracie McGraw; uncle, who was described as “close as a brother,” George Wiggins, and his wife Taylor; maternal grandparents, Mike Wiggins of Sandersville and Nancy Brantley of Tennille; paternal grandfather, Robert Morris of Sandersville; and his great-grandmother, Barbara Wiggins of Sandersville.
