Mrs. Lou Willie J. Howell, affectionately known as “Sis,” passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Graveside funeral services were held on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Bobby Warren officiating.

Mrs. Howell was born on July 2, 1925 to the parentage of the late Mr. Dave Jackson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Katie Peeler Jackson. She was the youngest of their children. At an early age, she accepted Christ into her life and became a lifelong member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. She attended college at the University of California. At the ripe age of ninety four (94) she excitingly registered to vote in Washington County and never missed voting in following elections. Mrs. Howell worked on a poultry farm for many years. She loved spending quality time with her family and friends and watching her favorite Professional Wrestling on television.

“Ms. Sis” was married to the late Mr. O.C. Howell. Their union was blessed with four children. She was left a widow early in their union following to the passing of Mr. O. C. She was always grateful for her brother, Mr. Dave Jackson, Sr., and her mother-in-law, “Granny,” for helping her raise her children.

She was additionally preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs. Irene Lango; as well as her siblings.

Mrs. Howell leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters: Mrs. Evelyn (George) Justice, Sparta and Ms. Lois Ann Howell, Sandersville; one son, Mr. Willie Arthur (Rosa A.) Howell, Milledgeville; one devoted grandson, Mr. Quentin T. (Tonya) Howell, Milledgeville; devoted nieces, Ms. Pamela Danzy, Ms. Patricia Moment, all of Sandersville; devoted nephew, Mr. Carlton (Cassandra) Danzy, Jr., Sandersville; caregivers, Mr. Anthony Roberson and Mr. Kenneth Price, Sandersville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
