Mrs. Pauline Cainion Braswell, of 406 Spring Street in Sandersville, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at her residence. Graveside funeral services were held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Reverend Rose Mackey officiating.

Mrs. Braswell, the daughter of the late Mr. Leavy Cainion and the late Mrs. Jessie Scott Cainion, was born in Seminole County. Pauline grew up in Donalsonville, Georgia. She graduated from the Seminole Training School and earned a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State College, which is now Savannah State University. Following graduation, Pauline moved to Sandersville and taught both elementary and high school for Washington County Public Schools. After thirty-two years of service, Pauline continued to work as a substitute teacher. Pauline loved her children, and in return, they loved her. She had a love for teaching Sunday School, as an active member of St. Paul AME Church, where she also served on the Missionary Board, Stewardess Board, Trustee Board, and as a Class Leader. She was always a willing participant to serve and help anyone in need. Pauline worked with several different missions and ministries to serve to the needs of the church. Pauline was known for her work in the community. She was a member of the  NBPW (National Business and Professional Women Club) and participated in the organizing of the Elderite Center. On Saturday, July 31, 2021, with her daughter by her side, Pauline received her angel wings and was called home to take her rest. God was pleased with her earthly deeds and an eternal life awaited with glorious rewards.

Mrs. Braswell leaves to cherish her memories, a loving daughter, Mrs. Tracy (Jessie) Stafford Morgan; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Verdine Cainion and Mrs. Helen, Cainion, Atlanta; special god-sister, Ms. Sandra Stafford, Sandersville; bonus daughter, Ms. Debra Lynn Johnson, Sandersville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
