Mr. Raymond Johnson, Sr. passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 in Tampa, Florida. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Dixon Grove Church of God in Christ with Elder Jeremiah Wooten officiating.
Raymond was born in Tennille on March 7, 1945 to the parentage of the late Ms. Essie Fields Temple and the late Mr. Audrow Johnson. He moved to Tampa, Florida at an early age and would work for the City of Tampa for forty-two (42) years. Mr. Johnson never met a stranger, always joking and making people laugh. Raymond was preceded in death by his brothers, Mr. Jessie Miller, Jr. and Mr. Arthur Lee Temple; and sisters, Ms. Daisy Miller, Ms. Jacqueline Temple, and Ms. Wyomie Dixon.
Mr. Johnson leaves cherished memories, to his loving wife, Mrs. Irene Johnson, Tampa, Florida; daughters, Ms. Carolyn Davis and Ms. Alecia Johnson, Tampa, Florida; sons, Mr. Raymond G. Johnson, Jr., Mr. Michael A. Johnson, and Mr. Cedric Johnson, Tampa, Florida; sisters, Ms. Janice Temple, Sandersville and Mrs. Sadie (Billy) Jones, Tennille; brothers, Mr. Frank Johnson and Mr. Rufus Johnson, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; devoted cousin, Ms. Addie L. Roberson; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
