Mrs. Delcie K. Everett, age 74, of Tennille peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2021 while surrounded by her family. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, January 29th at 2:00 P.M. in the Tennille Baptist Church with burial in the Zeta Cemetery. Reverend Brian Welch will officiate. Pallbearers will be Alan Amerson, Rogers Anderson, Phil Brown, III, David Everett, Brandon Kennedy, Jimmy Lewis, and Keith Thompson. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service at the church.

Mrs. Everett was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Joseph Harris Kennedy, Sr. and the late Dorothy Anderson Kennedy. She was a 1965 graduate from the Washington County High School. At the age of 19, Delcie began a 47-year career in the banking industry. Mrs. Everett was a faithful employee of the George D. Warthen Bank until her retirement in 2015 as loan operations manager. She was well-known to many through her additional work at Harveys Supermarket. Delcie began her work in the grocer field with Food Lyon in 1994 and continued until her health forced retirement in 2019. Mrs. Everett was a hard worker, who took pride in her yard at home. Gardening, working in her flower beds, mowing grass, and maintaining her pool were among her favorite tasks. She was a longtime member of the Tennille Baptist Church, where she formerly taught Sunday School, served as Church Treasurer, and worked as a Trustee. Delcie is preceded in death by her husband, William Ronald Everett.

Survivors include her children, Whitney Ann Raley and her husband Frank of Davisboro, Garyth Everett and his wife Karen, and Drew Everett all of Tennille; grandchildren, Brittany Chandler, Chelsey Lewis, Casey Everett, Kara Delcie Veal, Carson Everett, and Mallory Everett; great-grandsons, Fowler Lewis, Carter Veal, and Hudson Lewis; and her brother, Derek Kennedy and his wife Annette.
