Mr. John Hatcher passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the Washington County Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services were held on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in the Second Mineral Spring Baptist Church with Reverend Calvin Hatcher officiating.
John was born on July 10, 1944, to the parentage of the late Mr. Freddie Hatcher and the late Mrs. Lois Hatcher. He was a graduate of the T.J. Elder High School. Mr. Hatcher worked at Central State Hospital for thirty-eight (38) years. John was described as a gentle, kind, and giving man. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Hatcher was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Ida Mae Johnson and Mrs. Betty Wee Cummings; and three brothers, Mr. Willie John Hatcher, Mr. Ellis Hatcher, and Mr. Charlie Hatcher.
Mr. Hatcher is survived by son, Mr. Kelly (Patricia) Walker, Augusta; sister, Ms. Lorene Hatcher, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and a host of other relatives and friends.
