Ms. Retha Lanell Brooks transitioned to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the Augusta University Hospital in Augusta. Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Oconee Community Center at 138 Fairbanks Street in Oconee.
Retha attended the Public Schools of Washington County. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda W. Brooks; father, J.C. Brooks; brother, Jeffrey Brooks; and nephew, Jamie Brooks.
Mrs. Brooks leaves cherished memories to her daughter, Jasmine Poole; son, Jeremiah Poole; brother, James (Tanya) Brooks; sister, Jackie Brooks; sister-in-law, Shawanna (Jeffrey) Brooks; nephews, Tyrie, Ken, Tommy, Joshua, Jeffrey, Jr., Jamari, and Jaylen; nieces, Tniya, Jenai, and Shekinah; special friend, Mallory Arnett; and a host of aunts, cousins, and friends.
Centers for Disease Control guidelines for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19, including the wearing of face masks and the practicing of social distancing will be required.
