Ollie Mae McBride was a giving, caring, sharing, patient, kind, and loving person known as a mother, sister, auntie, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, and friend.  She knew how to calm minds, body, spirit, and soul. Mrs. McBride was always available to listen and distribute peace, knowledge, and understanding in the politest way. She knew no strangers. Ollie was introduced to Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California. She was a long-time and beloved member of the Zoe Christian Fellowship of Los Angeles. Mrs. McBride loved the Lord and regularly attended church service. Ollie faithfully supported her church family and her daughter Lisa’s dance ministry. She was a graduate of the T. J. High School in Sandersville. Mrs. McBride continued her education at the American Pacific College and graduated with a degree in Computerized Office Administration. She was the longtime wife to her beloved husband Willie J. McBride. He requested that she be a “stay-at-home-mom” to care for and help raise their three beautiful daughters Linda, Carol, and Lisa. After her children were grown, Ollie was employed at two major hospitals in California as a dietician and in-home support service worker. She retired to care for her husband. Mrs. McBride was a wonderful chef, always eager to fix a plate. Ollie’s smile could light up a room and her love could heal a broken heart. Spending time with her family was a favorite pastime and seeing them often brightened her days. Ollie enjoyed traveling to visit other states to see her family and cruising to exotic places with her daughters. She leaves precious memories in the mind and hearts of her family.
