
Mrs. Sarah Anne Trussell, age 80, of Sandersville, peacefully passed away in the morning of Wednesday October 19, 2022, at the Heritage Inn of Sandersville following an extended illness. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, October 21 at 3:00 P.M. in the Sisters Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Reverend Jason Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of the service at the Sisters Baptist Church.
Mrs. Trussell was a native and lifelong resident of Sandersville, the daughter of the late Julian Roberson and the late Bernice Dixon Roberson. She was a graduate of the Washington County High School. Sarah Anne began her working career at Newsome’s Pharmacy. Mrs. Trussell later served as Kindergarten Director for the Sisters Baptist Church Preschool and retired following a stint as Receptionist at the Washington County High School. She was a faithful WACO Golden Hawks supporter and often volunteered her time and efforts during numerous sporting events. Sarah Anne enjoyed time spent outdoors working in her yard. Mrs. Trussell was a member of the Sisters Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William Dean Trussell of Sandersville; sons, Troy Trussell and his wife Denise of Milledgeville and Eric Trussell of Sandersville; and grandsons, Nicholas Dean Trussell and Christopher James Trussell.
