Linda Grace Burgamy, age 77, of Warthen passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Heritage Inn of Sandersville. Graveside funeral services to celebrate her life will be held Saturday February 3 at 11:00 A.M. in the Pine Hill Methodist Church Cemetery of Warthen. Reverend Don Black will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service.

Ms. Burgamy was born February 5, 1946, to the late Andrew Burgamy and the late Annie Laura Burgamy. She spent most of her adult life living in her beloved Alaska. Linda was a civil service veteran, spending four years in the Air Force stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, California, New Jersey, and Germany before settling at Fort Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska. Ms. Burgamy held a passion for the welfare of animals, owning five special Poodles and several Yorkies, and operating a kennel for cats and dogs. Linda was an avid reader, enjoyed history and historical fiction, loved classic country music, and owned an impressive collection of tapes, CD’s, and DVD’s.

Survivors include her siblings, Barbara Ann Channell and husband Herman of Warthen and Charles “Duck” Burgamy and wife Faye of Warthen; nieces and nephews, Eric Channell and wife Kerri, Dan Channell and wife Vanessa, Wesley Channell and wife April, Dawn Burgamy Brown and husband Tony, and Lisa Channell; great-nieces and great-nephews, Matthew Channell, Houston Channell, Maci Brown, Madison Brown, Harley Lawson and husband Will, and Tori Beth Sherman; and great-great-nephew, Asher Lawson.
