
Washington County’s theatrical best will look to “break a leg” this week while performing Broadway’s Best.
Soulful scenes of singing and dancing will be on display as high-level production returns to Sandersville.
In October of 2023, the Sandersville Music Club produced “Broadway Moments,” a musical salute to Broadway acts over the past 100 years. This show was in celebration of the 100th anniversary for the Sandersville Music Club – becoming it’s first live program in 18 years.
It was met with rave local reviews, selling out 3 shows and entertaining over 1,000 attendees.
Due to popular demand, planning for an encore soon-after began. Auditions were held in October of last year. Rehearsals have been underway for the past two months.
The show with performers of all ages is designed to entertain viewers of all ages.
Again labeled as a Price Family Production, the talented trio of Scott, Susie, and Sydney Price help steer and lead affairs alongside a great group of choreographic, music, and production directors.
The show’s number of cast and crew tops over 60 individuals.
“Broadway’s Best” will delight thespian attendees over three days – two evening performances and one afternoon matinee.
Thursday, February 20 and Saturday, February 22 shows will begin at 7:00 p.m. Showtime on Sunday, February 23 will start at 2:30 p.m.
The historic Sandersville School will again host this community-led and community-oriented event. The stage is set for the recently renovated Auditorium to hold a trio of sellouts.

The Sandersville Music Club was first formed in 1923 by a group of women who sought to bring fine music and culture to rural middle Georgia.
“Broadway’s Best” is composed of songs, dances, and scenes from Tony Award-winning musicals performed by local talent.
