Mr. Oscar William “Bill” Snider, age 81, of Tennille, died on Friday, February 1, 2019, at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services for Mr. Snider will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday in First Church of the Nazarene in Sandersville with burial in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. Reverend Tom Howard and Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mark Snider, Thomas Snider, Don Wilson, Casey Youngblood, Tyler Sheppard, Conner Gunn , Blake Joiner and Roy Amerson Jr.

Mr. Snider was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Louie Andrew Snider and the late Thelma Tenner Snider.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joanne Snider, his daughters, Michelle Snider and Debra Snider and his siblings, Dorothy Johnson, Brooks Snider, Lora Miller and Betty Snider. Mr. Snider was a retired warehouse manager for Imerys Kaolin Company.  He was a member of Antioch Christian Church and had served in the Georgia National Guard.

Survivors are his wife, Cora Anderson Snider of Tennille; children, Mark Snider and his wife Kim of Tennille, Thomas  Snider and his wife Ashley Hardie of Milledgeville, Elizabeth Youngblood and her husband Casey of Ft. Bragg, NC, and Don Wilson and his wife Cassie of Gainesville; six grandchildren, Emily Snider, Caroline Snider, Trey Youngblood, Ava Youngblood, Christina Wilson and Donald Wilson; sister, Jennie Medlin of Milledgeville; brother, James Snider and his wife Sybil of Milledgeville; sister in law, Shirley Snider of Milledgeville; and mother in law, MayBell Anderson of Tennille.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 P.M.  until 6:00 P.M. on Saturday.
