Mr. Franklin Jackson, Sr. affectionately known as “Bubba,” entered into eternal rest at Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M.with Rev. Dr. Bobby L. Warren officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mr. Jackson was born on December 1, 1948 in Sandersville, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Dave and Mrs. Daisy Jackson.

He joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church at an early age and was ordained as a deacon in August 2012.

Mr. Jackson was a 1966 graduate of T.J. Elder High School. Immediately after graduation he joined the military and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After his discharge from the military, he drove trucks for forty years traveling all over the United States and Canada.

Mr. Jackson enjoyed watching westerns and cartoons, taking care of his chickens and keeping the grass cut at church until his health failed.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Ms. Dianne Jackson, Ms. Linda Jackson and one brother: Mr. Jerome Jackson.

Mr. Jackson leaves cherished memories to his devoted wife of twenty years: Mrs. Vera Jackson, Sandersville, Georgia; one son: Mr. Franklin Jackson, Jr. (Sonya), Sandersville, Georgia; five daughters: Mrs. Sharon (Darrin) Johnson, Wadley Georgia; Ms. Pamela Hall, Ms. Trina Hall, Ms. Tasha Hall, Ms. Angela Reeves, Sandersville, Georgia; three sisters: Ms. Annie Jackson, Mrs. Gail (KC) Winkfield, Mrs. Mavis (Ricky) Brezial, Milledgeville, Georgia; one brother: Mr. Eldred (Janet) Jackson, Milledgeville, Georgia; one aunt: Ms. Lou Willie Howell, Sandersville, Georgia; one sister-in-law: Ms. Rochelle Marshall, Atlanta, Georgia; one brother-in-law: Mr. Benjamin (Rebeca) Marshall, Tennille, Georgia; two devoted nephews: Mr. Kenneth Jackson, Mr. Charles Jackson, Milledgeville, Georgia; sixteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
