Mrs. Alice Davis Mimbs, age 92, of Tennille died on Saturday September 7, 2019 in Dublin following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday September 11, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.  Reverend Mark Jones will officiate. Pallbearers will be Billy Davis, Johnny Davis, Ben Jones, Danny Sumner, Harry Cook, Charles Harrel, Matt Mimbs and Jay Hatton.

Mrs. Mimbs was a native of Taliaferro County, the daughter of the late Dewin L. Davis and the late Ethel Reid Ellington Davis.  She had lived in Washington County most of her life and was a graduate of Tennille High School Class of 1943. Mrs. Mimbs was a purchasing agent for Washington Manufacturing Company for over thirty-two years.  She was a member of the Tennille Baptist Church and a charter member of the Washington County Pilot Club.  In her retirement years she worked for the Clothes Gallery.

Survivors are: her two sons, Larry Eldon Mimbs and his wife Billie Ann of Tennille and Steven Fleming Mimbs and his wife Debbie of Jefferson; four grandchildren, Lea Ann Mimbs, Kelli Mimbs Hatton and her husband Jay, Melody Mimbs and Matthew Steven Mimbs; five great grandchildren, Hannah Grace Waters, Haylee Nelson, Katelyn Hatton, Jacob Hatton and Connor Mimbs; a sister, Winifred Stanley of Atlanta.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday until the hour of service.
