The victim in the Saturday evening fatal pedestrian crash in Tennille has been identified as 38-year-old Ronnie Peeler of Tennille.
According to Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran, Peeler was struck by a Ford F-150 pickup truck at approximately 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 1 in the 300-block of Main Street in Tennille.
Georgia State Patrol was called to investigate the fatal crash.
Sheriff Cochran explained that Peeler sustained severe head trauma from the accident. Peeler was airlifted to Augusta University’s trauma center where he succumbed to his injuries.
