Weekend Shooting Sends One to Hospital

A weekend shooting sent one individual to the hospital, according to Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran.

In a social media post early Saturday morning, Sheriff Cochran explained that Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators were dispatched to Ivey Drive in reference to a shooting.

One individual, a 27-year-old male, was transported to the emergency room where he was treated for a non-lethal gunshot wound.

Not only did one individual get struck during the incident, but Sheriff’s deputies and investigators discovered two homes and several vehicles were also damaged from the gunfire.

During the course of the investigation, Washington County Sheriff’s Investigators recovered approximately 21 shell casings from the scene on Ivey Drive.
