Christopher “Chris” Charles Johnson departed this Earthly life for his eternal rest on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, while surrounded by his devoted family. Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the Pierce Family Cemetery at 739 Pierce Circle of East Dublin. Reverend E. Neal Dixon will officiate.
Chris, the second of three children, was born on April 21, 1973, in Birmingham, Alabama to the loving union of Charles Edward Johnson and Caldonia Pierce Johnson. He accepted Christ into his life at an early age and was baptized into the Catholic faith. Mr. Johnson attended the W.P. Davidson High School in Jackson, Alabama. Upon graduation, Chris continued his studies in business with a concentration in accounting at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, where he resided until migrating to Atlanta, working at the Georgia Dome. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Johnson; paternal grandparents, Willie Oliver Johnson and Annie Dell Peoples Johnson; and maternal grandparents, J.B. Pierce and Clara Bell Kelley Pierce.
Mr. Johnson leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Caldonia Pierce; sister, Charlene Denise Johnson; brother, Christian Edward Johnson; devoted niece, Christina Olivia Johnson; nephew, Christian Edward Johnson, Jr.; devoted aunt, Fronie Ann Pierce Smith; devoted uncles, Lee Mack (Linda) Pierce, Sr. and Atheal Pierce; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
